Bobbi Brown Brightening Finishing Powder in Porcelain Pearl

You could be forgiven for running away from this gorgeously pretty but funky coloured face powder but I urge you to not run away, but indeed order it (seriously when are Bobbi Brown going to actually just employ me?!). This stunning powder is an all over powder for brightening the face and fear not, you will not end up with a multicoloured face, you’ll just end up looking radiant (minus the shimmer).

The palette is a generous size with a great mirror in the lid. The top left shade, the white, is lightly shimmery and the rest of the colours are matte so far as my eye can see, but I suspect that actually there’s something a little luminous in there. The best thing about this product is that it does what it does without actually being noticeable…which of course makes it impossible to show you in photographs.

Personally, whilst this is a finishing powder to be used over the entire face, to add some contrast I choose to use it only in selected places. I use my usual face powder all over and then add this along the tops of my cheek, my lower forehead (between my brows), chin, down the nose. All the areas I want to brighten. This isn’t a highlighter, it doesn’t highlight, it does brighten.

Anyway, here’s my mug yesterday.

So there you have it. Another highly recommended Bobbi Brown product. Yes this was a sample provided for review purposes but I swear to go I mean every single word of this (ALL of my) review(s).

For me this is the final step, like the icing on the cake as it were, once I’ve completed the rest of my make up.

The only thing I don’t like about this product is the price, at £40 a pan, its another reason I don’t use this all over, and just on selected parts of my face. I want this to last. Although  I should add, that although I use this daily, I see no signs of wear on it yet. Time will tell I think!
