Available in 18 Shades this foundation promises 12 hour wear, flexible breathable coverage, no caking creasing or settling, controls oil and shine and protection against sweat and humidity.
My shade in all Bobbi Brown foundations is Warm Ivory. It always looks completely wrong for me in the bottle or in this case, in the pan, but it’s always just right when I apply it.
The foundation comes in a lovely solid black compact and comes with a sponge for application, I’ve used both the sponge and a foundation brush (seriously loving the Liz Earle Foundation Brush at the moment) and both apply really well, I think using a brush has the edge though and of course, it goes without saying that the sponge is perfect for out and about.
In terms of all the claims made about the product, I think they all hold true except for one. This does last all day, it gives a fantastic natural looking medium coverage, it doesn’t crease or settle (usually a problem for me around my nostrils) and it seems to hold well whatever situation I’m in, although I’m yet to put it through it’s paces in the tropical biodome a the Eden Project (ooh but I will later this month!). The only thing I don’t find is that it’s not terribly matte on me, that’s not a criticism, I actually love the finish on me, it’s more natural. It has a hint of shine about it that doesn’t scream oil slick. It’s very nice and brightening.
