Hello!

Well, recently I showed you the Bobbi Brown Navy & Nude Eye Palette which is the star product from the current Navy & Nude collection, and today I’m going to show you some of the things from the supporting cast!

Bobbi Brown Navy & Nude Collection

So lets start with the two eye products. Long-Wear Cream Shadow in Suede (£18.50) on the Left and Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Steel Ink on the Right (£17.50).

Starting with the Cream Shadow in Suede. This is my first experience of the long-wear cream shadows and this is a great start. The colour is fantastic, it’s a brilliant base for any shadows, but especially the Navy &Nude one of course but it’s also great on it’s own, it’s just a good colour. Very warm in tone but goes with most things. Wear time is, as you would expect, exceptional, very good indeed. Recommended, even though the price is a bit ouchy… And moving onto the Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Steel Ink. Steel Ink looks to be a black in the pot, but it’s not. There’s a hidden surprise, it’s actually a blackened navy filled with shimmer. Not my first experience with this product in general but it’s in keeping with the others I’ve tried. Applies smoothly and easily and lasts all day with no transfer to the upper lid. Super. Swatches of both of these can be seen lower down. The Liner is Limited Edition. Here’s how I’ve been wearing them, combined with the Navy & Nude palette.

Then we have the Limited Edition Brightening Brick in Pink (£40)

I have mixed thoughts on this one. For a start, I really object to the £40 price tag. It’s nice but it’s not that nice if you know what I mean. I certainly wouldn’t have paid for this item. That said I do like it and I really love the Porcelain Pearl one I have and use frequently. I’d say if this was more around the £25-£28 price point it’d be something I’d highly recommend. The shade is beautiful, it’s a warm pink but be warned, it’s very very sparkly, something I don’t mind at all, but if you do, this one to avoid. I actually love this on me, it’s a very subtle way to wear a blush, and there’s something really classy about it.

Here’s how it looks on me.

The final item is the Limited Edition Sheer Lip Gloss in Sailor (£18)

Bobbi Brown Navy & Nude Collection

I like the formula of Bobbi Brown Lip Glosses very much, they seem to stay on my lips for a long time. This is a sheer red, but it’s not a must have unless you don’t own anything like it and you’d like to. It gives just the merest hint of colour on the lips and it is pretty but it’s not very exciting. Still, a sheer lipgloss is a handy thing to have and I’m sure this will be worn.

And here I am wearing all of the above and the Navy & Nude Palette.

I really love this collection, I love the look all the products give, it’s a natural and pretty look with interest added with the navy. Not all products are must haves, but I’d strongly recommend the Eye Pallet and Cream Shadow, along with the Liner. Other items are nice to have, but not must haves for me!

Oh and before I go, here are swatches of all the products shown above. L-R Sailor Lip Gloss, Pink Brightening Brick, Suede Long-Wear Cream Shadow, Steel Ink Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner

I didn’t pay attention to the cream shadow or liner but they look lovely on you, so might have to go back for those 🙂
I do wish the brick didn’t have the sparkle as I did really like the colour of it.

I agree, the colour is beautiful and the sparkle isn’t necessary. I like it with or without the sparkle personally but definitely wouldn’t pay the money for it! x
