I’m in love. I’ve seen the press release and drooled, I saw blog posts and drooled some more and then I was sent my own to try and it was a fabby little gift set thing with six of the Chubby Sticks in it and a load of pink Clinique pencils. Yay!
So what are Chubby Sticks?
Well essentially they are a moisturizing lip colour balm and that’s their full name, Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm. A sheer hint of colour and sheen in a big chubby pencil, much chubbier than I had imagined actually. Highly moisturising  with butters, oils, antioxidants. Whats more the base simply twists up so theres no sharpening required on these babies and they are available in 8 shades.
So lets have a look at them in a bit more detail.
Clinique Chubby Sticks
The shades I have are all swatched below:
Clinique Chubby Sticks

Top to Bottom: Chunky Cherry, Graped Up, Mega Melon, Richer Raisin, Woppin’ Watermelon and Whole Lotta Honey.

And swatched on lips in the same order, starting with Chunky Cherry.

Whole Lotta Honey

So there we have it. In my opinion these are absolute must haves, at least one. I will off to buy Super Strawberry as soon as poss as I’ve fallen in love with that one and I don’t have it.  My faves from the ones I was sent are Graped Up and Chunky Cherry but really they are all gorgeous. They feel fab on as well, not glossy or gloopy or thick, just light and moisturising and well, balm like! Very very highly recommended indeed.
These retail at £14, are available now and from all the usual places. I’m loving http://www.debenhams.com/ right now though as at the time of writing they are reduced to £12.60 in the sale.

I saw these written about yesterday. They look great, although the raisin looks like maybe the colour hasn’t distributed evenly. I’m going to have to go try these. Might use some Boots points on them.

Ohh firstly I am so envious of you getting 6 of these. How cute is that set.
And now I need the cherry and watermelon ones, I have to go and try them to see how they feel.

Charlie I am so jealous, the display thing looks so pretty! Not to mention the products themselves! I’ve had the Cherry for a while now and although I didn’t love it at first, as I have a lot of similar balm type things, it has definitely grown on me. I’ll be off to check out the other colours when they reach my neck of the woods x

These look really lovely! May have to investigate. I love that all the colours look really easy to wear as well. I’m not sure which one is my favourite! xx
