I’m not familiar with the Japanese brand DHC. I’m not sure how long the products have been available in the UK, but I suspect not terribly long, but DHC is in fact Japan’s number one direct skincare company.

I’ve never tried any of their products before, however I have heard quite a lot about their products over the last year or so, in particular their Deep Cleansing Oil which is one of their best selling products with one being sold every 10 seconds world wide.

The Face Wash Powder* (£9.50) is not new but I believe it has been reformulated. I can’t speak with any experiences of the reformulation as I haven’t tried it before, but I can tell you how I find it now!

DHC Face Wash Powder Review

In a flip top container, you pour out a small amount of powder, combine with a bit of water to make a lather then massage into your skin, getting your quantities can be a bit tricky, I found I was adding too little powder or too much water the first couple of times I used it, however, once you’ve got a feel for it its quick and easy. It was literally only the first two times I used it I struggled.

The powder itself is very fine, and once you add water, it’s not gritty at all.

DHC Face Wash Powder ReviewIt’s lightly exfoliating and cleanses deeply.  Protease enzyme helps to dissolve amino acid bonds and dissolve surface dead skin cells, liquorice soothes skin and honey softens and moisturises.

I absolutely love this stuff. I approached it open mindedly, but my skin suffers quite badly if products don’t suit it. This produces a beautifully soft lather, leaves my skin incredibly soft and doesn’t leave any residue on my skin (important as products that do tend to break me out) and nor does it dry my skin out (also important as my skin feels flaky, dry and eventually breaks out when products are too drying), it just leaves my skin feeling incredibly clean, soft and lovely.

Its really reasonably priced at £9.50 but you need very little to cleanse your whole face.
