Powder foundations don’t have the best reputation do they? I think it’s because of the way they can sit on the skin and look…well… powdery!

I have found the most legendary powder foundation that isn’t just good for a powder foundation, it’s amazing as a foundation full stop.  It’s incredible.

So  the powder promises lasting wear, not to cake, not settle into your fine lines or clog your pores and give you an airbrushed, polished finish.

Formula wise this isn’t your average powder, this is Estee Lauder’s powder gelee formula, so it’s a liquid, powder and gel texture.  We’ve seen it in shadows and highlighters and it’s a formula that was begging to be put into into a face product.

It comes in 14 shades I think and I have shade 1N1, Ivory Nude which couldn’t be any more perfect for me.

In the bottom of the compact is a specially designed sponge for applying, it’s double sided sponge, a velvety side for a sheer coverage and a sponge side for a fuller coverage and the first couple of times I tried this foundation I wasn’t blown away….until I tried to buff it in with a kabuki. Dear lord. Talk about won over. This is base perfection. I’m not even kidding. This stuff gives me radiant skin that looks as though I’m not wearing anything. I could rave on about it but there’s only so much you can say about a foundation. In terms of coverage, it’s buildable which is nice, but it leans on the sheerer side but if you’re looking for something light and glowing for the Summer months this is it.

Available from Estee Lauder and other Estee Lauder stockists now, but it’s shifting fast, quite a few shades are out of stock on the Estee Lauder site. Don’t just take my word for it, try it for yourself!

  1. Looks lovely on you Charlie! I’ve been stuck on wearing liquid foundations and such but thinking maybe I should explore other options like this.

Wow! Your skin looks incredible! I mean it looks so radiant and natural but perfectly even. I’ve never had success with powder foundations because they look so patchy on my dry parts and slides of my oily T-zone. But I’m looking forward to looking for this at the counter.

Thank you! I find I still need to moisturise really well but once I have it glides on and stays on well!

Your skin looks great, I had assumed it was just a powder so took no notice of it, so will make sure to have a closer look 🙂
