The Lancome Autumn/Winter Collection, Midnight Roses, is in stores now and I’ve not seen too much of a fanfare about this launch which is a shame as the products are really quite beautiful. I’ve got three bits to show you today. I actually see the Christmas collection is out already so perhaps I’m a little late with this but here we go anyway!
First up we have the Le Vernis Nail in shade 453, a delicious deep fuchsia, almost purpley. A gorgeous gorgeous shade. £12.
There are also a couple of other shades in the collection, Cosmopolitan Kaki and Beige Poudre. Going by online images, 453 (I can’t find a shade name) is the best though, it’s lovely.
The next thing I have to show you is L’Absolu Rouge in shade 160 Rouge Hypnose. Stunning lipstick, this looks red with a hint of bright pink in the bullet but on me it’s very pink indeed, and very bright, and matte, and stunning.
This shade makes my eyes look extremely blue. For a matte lipstick, it wears extremely well and I don’t find it at all drying. This is seriously gorgeous. £21.
The final thing I have to show you is the L’Absolu Mat Cashmere in shade 300 Magie Pourpre, £21.
A stunning matte liquid lipstick, in a wonderful colour. It paints on like a dream and stays put for hours and hours. Although it’s matte, it’s not completely matte, the close up shows it very freshly applied so you can see it’s still a little wet, but on the picture of my full face it’s dried down and is matte, but it’s not completely matte, it still has a little life in it. It’s gorgeous, it’s available in three shades and I rate this very highly indeed.
Oh and hand swatches of the two lip products:
There are lots of lip products in this range so probably a red or pink for everyone. The star product has to be the beautiful Blush Highlighter at £34. It does look beautiful.
The Midnight Roses collection is available now on Lancome counters nationwide.
