I can’t be the only person who has never heard of Lord & Berry Cosmetics? I was intrigued to receive a sample of their products. An Italian brand whose niche appear to be the Black Wardrobe. More on that Later.

Lord & Berry Cosmetics

Thats the Black Wardrobe Ultimate Touch Eraser Pencil, the Smudgeproof Waterproof Eyeliner in Black, the Vogue Matte Velvet Lipstick in China Red and a Stardust Pure Pearl Loose Powder eyeshadow in Gold Black. I’ll show you some swatches and then talk about the products in more detail.

There is no swatch of the eraser pencil as it is transparent.

The Eraser Pencil is something of a marvel actually. I’m always winging out my eyeliner a touch too far or making some ridiculous mistake, this just cleans things up a little. It doesn’t work well on waterproof products, but if you dab it on the bit you want to remove then this acts like an oil which you can then swipe with a cotton bud. Honestly, if you’re cack handed like me this is a great product!

Next up the Vogue Matte Velvet Lipstick. This is beautiful! It’s a matte lipstick, but it’s not drying at all, the colour is stunning, although I wish I had a different shade so I could get more wear out it. Mandarino (an orange shade) looks fab.  This lipstick claims to plump and counteract the signs of aging. Well I don’t notice much in the way of plumping, but my pout certainly looked fairly luscious. A very nice lipstick indeed.

Onto the Stardust Pure Pearl Loose Eyeshadow in Gold Black. There’s a shimmer there, but its very very subtle and actually this product is really rather lovely. It is buildable and is perfect for a smokey eye, rock chick style. If I had more skill I’d show you. I might do at a later date, it’s the kind of product where messy isn’t too much of an issue, it’s part of the effect. Very nice.

Finally the Smudgeproof waterproof liner. This is a soft pencil, goes on very smoothly and it really doesn’t smudge. If smudgeproof is what you are after then this is does the trick perfectly. As such, I’m struggling to use it to be honest. It’s been many years since I’ve worn unblended black lines on my eyes, but for many people this would be a fantastic product.

What is really special about this brand is their Black Wardrobe range. Whilst the liner I was sent wasn’t ideal for my needs, the Black Wardrobe is a collection of black products, most of which are eyeliners, all of which serve a different purpose or have a different finish. There are liquid liners, smudgeable liners, glittery liners, you name it, they have it.

The range is extremely reasonably priced with the liners priced at £5.95 and the lipstick at £9.95 which I think is the most expensive item they do.

I highly recommend this range, especially if black is your thing, although they do colours too!

You can purchase from ASOS or Beautyque

I have never really heard of this brand but it seems edgy! I would love to try out that liner

Lord & Berry. Sounds more like an upmarket cobbler to me….Like the lippie but the packaging doesn’t appeal.

Love the sound of the Eraser.

I have a set of three loose shadows that I got off QVC a couple of years back. I liked the packaging,no product going everywhere. They don’t get enough love off me really though, just because they’re browns.

I’ve never heard of these either, but the lipstick looks gorgeous!

Charlie, do you know which MAC collections are out in the UK this month? Is it just Dare To Wear lipglasses and eyeshadows?

    Thanks

Andrea – so far as I know its Digipops, Dare to Wear and Alice & Olivia this month x

Thanks! I thought Alice & Olivia wasn’t coming out in the UK? I suppose I’ll find out on Thursday! x

Its pretty much all online now if you search for the individual items you want.

Also available on QVC every now and again. I think they are a big Italian range (but I may have got that wrong or even dreamt it!!) – whenever they demo on QVC the textures of the eyepencils in particular look sublime

I have seen this range on ASOS before and always wondered what they would be like. I’ve never seen any reviews before so, for me, this post is great. Thanks Charlie, excellent review as always!

I lost Lord & Berry Lipstick Pencils when your Brand was removed from the market and I thought you were sold. The company I worked for made the printed display inserts for you. I bought every lipstick pencil in my color pallet that I could find on clearance. Ulta Stores carries some compeditors, but it’s not your formula or colors.
ARE YOU BACK? WHERE CAN I TEST YOUR COLORS AND GET YOUR LINE?

Oooh you are lucky, these products are all right up my alley! 🙂 The lipstick is just stunning and as i prefer unblended thick black eyeliner i can imagine the pencil would be great! I have a revlon makeup eraser pen which is really helpful.
