Magnetic Lash

False lashes and I are not friends and I think now it’s time to face up to facts. We are never going to be friends. Once a year I wear them for a Christmas party, but they are a pain to get on and I don’t feel comfortable in them really, usually they take multiple attempts to get in place, messing up my make up in  the meantime and it doesn’t matter what make I use, what glue and what tutorial I follow, they are always just a pain in the neck. And what’s more I don’t really love how they look…fake. It’s just out of my comfort zone. I don’t mind them for the Christmas party because then I’m going for full on glamour, but otherwise, it’s just no.

So I really like the idea of this Magnetic Lash stuff. It’s full titile is Magnetic Mascara 1-2-1 Lash Extension System but basically it’s a mascara and brush on fibres to add volume and length.

So what you get is the Magnetic Mascara….

And the Lash Builder…

The process is simple, apply a good thick even coat of the Magnetic Mascara, gently and carefully brush and dab on the fibres of the Lash Builder.

Once applied you simply add one more coat of the Magnetic Mascara to smooth and seal the fibres in.

This is no quick apply and run out of the door product, application takes a great deal of care and attention to avoid clumps and it is possible, but it’s easy to mess up.

I really like this, but there are two things to look out for, one is that I found when applying the fibres I do get a little bit of fall out, not much but you might need to give under your eyes a little sweep with a soft brush when you’ve finished, the other of course I’ve already mentioned, apply with care to avoid clumps.

Here’s my end result. UP close you can see the fibres at work.

Lots of length and volume and really nice and black. I approve. I haven’t experienced any loss of fibres throughout the day and although there was a small amount of fall out on application, I didn’t seem to get any in my eyes or experience irritation of any kind.

It works really well for me, but this is for the patient make up wearer only!
