Revlon Scented Polish Coconut Crush and Bubblegum
I’ve been waiting for these to come out for ages. Actually I didn’t think they were out yet but I was in Boots the other day having a nose and spotted them. At the time of purchase (last friday I think) they were two for ยฃ8 on all Revlon polish so I grabbed a couple. Coconut Crush, a gold tinted frosty white with a coconut scent and Bubblegum, a bright fuschia with a bubblegum scent.
Coconut crush. Smells really strong of nearly realistic coconut and over the course of a few days the scent didn’t diminish. I didn’t realise though until I was sorting out these photos that my nails were covered in tiny little air bubbles. Wear was ok on it. I like the colour a lot, it’s not too frosty, and the scent was just ok.

ย Then I put on Bubblegum. This was the one I was looking forward to most! I love sweet smelling things. Sadly the scent of this one was disappointing, it smelled slightly sweet, slightly bubblegum-my and quite chemically. Not nice. The scent didn’t last well on this one and I couldn’t detect it on the second day. Just as well since I didn’t like it really. The colour however I love! It’s nothing special I don’t suppose, it’s just a bright pink, but I love it! I really love it! Gorgeous. I’m really into pink at the moment, you’ll see over the course of the next week or two of posts!

All in all I have mixed thoughts! The scent of the coconut one was nice, but not amazing, and the colour was nice but not wow,ย  and the bubblegum one was a great colour but the smell was vile and not long lasting. So there you go, my thoughts on the Revlon Scented polish!

Toyed with these at the weekend, absolutely love Bubblegum it is a fab colour and may yet have to go back for it! Got blue lagoon, which is a gorgeous colour but was a total streakfest that needed 4 coats and then wouldnt dry! x

Scented nail varnish is not a idea that appeals to me, I feel like they would always just be too chemical.

Really interesting to see your thoughts on these. I blogged about Peach Smoothie yesterday. I’m still on two minds I think but would like to try more. Tempted by the Coconut Crush now…

Bicky, check it out, loads of bloggers seem to love the smell!

Debbie, blue lagoon is a gorgeous colour, does it smell nice?

    Kelsey, I think they are!

LNR, I think they would be right up your street! Check them out!

LoubouLush, I saw your blogpost… I didn’t really like the look of the peach.

Charli, you’d only look like a weirdo if you kept sniffing your nails in public places! xxx

I just don’t get this… Colours look great, especially the pink, but why the smell? Are they aimed at teens or something?

I have to say I have no interest whatsoever in scented nail polish. I would love it if it didn’t stink my room out and give me a headache when I apply it, but I don’t care what it smells like once on. I would like to smell one of these just to see what it’s like, but don’t think I’ll be buying any. It might be my foggy brain but am sure I remember something like this released back when I was at school, from the old Boots Natural Collection I think? Don’t think it worked too well back then. Love the pink Revlon shade x

How good looking are your nails at the moment. I was tempted to buy these polishes too, especially at the ‘bargain’ price they are at the moment, buy 2 for something at boots. I knew I definitely wanted the coconut one, and my problem was finding the other colour. The turquoise looks lovely but smells or marine loo freshener. The papaya colour looks lovely but I ve smelled too many papayas while I was growing up and I wouldnt want to wear it on my nails. I love the smell of mango but I find the colour so so. You see where I am going, it’s a nice concept, but I can’t find one which has the perfect match of colour that I like enough to buy and smell. When I tried the coconut, I fell in love, and for 2 days I was constantly smelling my thumb (only finger which was blessed by this colour) but I don’t like the colour enough: not a fan of the finish. too brushstroky for my feeling. Nice effort revlon but it’s not working for me. I hope another brand will pick up the idea. xx
