YSL’s Teint Radiance (Radiance Enhancing Flawless Foundation) is my first experience with a YSL base. I’m a big fan of most of their cosmetics so I had great expectations.
Teint Radiance comes in a great range of colours and I suspected I’d be a 3 (Opal) which indeed I am. I’m pretty sure the range goes up to a shade 12 so I’m about where I’d expect to be on the scale.
The foundation is supposed to be fine and silky and natural looking. The coverage buildable and most importantly for me has SPF 20.
Gotta say I’m loving this. I’ll show you how it looks on my face then talk about it in a little more detail after. For these pictures in addition to the foundation I have a little powder on my nose only, a touch of blusher and some Touche Eclat under my eyes.
I have to say I’m a fan. This is a great level of coverage for me. The shade is nigh on perfect and it certainly has a degree of radiance but still looks like it’s my skin. It’s very natural.
The only problem with this for me is that by about lunchtime it was slipping a bit in places. It didn’t budge on my cheeks, nor my chin, the only place it started to slip was around my nostrils, so next time I wear this I’ll be sure to powder there too because my nose (where I did powder) stayed well put too. So yes this is a lovely foundation. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who has skin that leans a bit oily, but for normal, combination or dry I think this is great, just if you are combination you might need a little powder to help set it. Just make sure you use a powder that doesn’t take away all the radiance!
Teint Radiance is £31 from all the usual counters.
