Gwen is such an incredible style icon, the collection was bound to be a) hotly anticipated and b) beautiful. I’m just doing a quick run down of the products available today, but I want it all, especially the blush palette and the eye palette! Gwen was totally involved in the design of the range and it really shows.
I’m going to start with the Blush Palette which is £35.
The palette features six shades, Cherry is a light pink satin, Easy is a deep rose with gold shimmer, Angel is a champagne nude shimmer, Lo-Fi is a soft bronze matte, Hush is a medium pink with gold shimmer and OC is soft pink with a peach shift. Honestly, this is just beautiful and thanks to the inclusion of bronze and highlight shades, it looks like a contouring dream.
Next up is the Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette, £40.
This is just beautiful isn’t it? A stunning range of neutrals in a variety of finishes, with the bottom row allowing you to add colour and dimension as required. It goes without saying that Urban Decay do eye shadows perfectly, the formula is always spot on, and I imagine these are no different…. WANT!
The Gwen Stefani Brow Box is £19.50.
The Brow Box is only available in Bathwater Blonde, and contains two brow powder shades, a mirror in the lid, tweezers, and two angled brushes. There’s also a wax included to keep your brows in place. I’m not a blonde and I like brows dark so this wouldn’t be good for me, however, it does appear to be the same as the ordinary Brow Boxes in terms of content, and that is available in two shades and is the same price. Will have to check it out, I do love a good brow product!
Next are the Gwen Stefani 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencils. £14.00 each.
I must apologise for the low quality image there. The Lip Pencils are available in six shades, to match the lipsticks (I’ll show you next). They are creamy, waterproof formula… and most importantly for me, they prevent feathering.
Finally the Gwen Stefani Lipsticks, £16 each.
So there you have it, an extremely covetable collection, I’d be happy to own any of the items, but especially the palettes and lipsticks.
The entire range is available from Urban Decay online now. Happy Shopping!
Angel is a polarising scent, people tend to either love it, or despise it, personally I have waxed lyrical about my love for Thierry Mugler’s Angel and its variants many times over the years and I am firmly in the love it camp. It is in fact the closest thing that I have to a signature scent, as even though I don’t wear it daily, I’ve not been without a bottle of one kind or other since about 1992. My relationship with Angel in fact pre-dates its UK launch, as I tramped from store to store asking blank-faced sales staff if they had it. None had even heard of it. Once it did land in the UK it met all my expectations and as I say, has been in my life ever since!
The newest offering from the Angel stable is the Angel Passion Star.
Actually the Passion Star is the original Angel Eau de Parfum in a new limited edition bottle, replacing the angelic blue with fiery, passionate red. I think it’s got “christmas present” written all over it, but also a great gift for collectors. The Angel bottles are always exquisite and highly collectable, this would be a must for any collection. It’s also refillable like many of the Angel bottles are.
Beautiful. I won’t review the scent here, but you can find my review of the Eau de Parfum, within my review of the Eau de Toilette version. I’m wearing Angel today and it is truly beautiful!
Angel Passion Star Launches on the 1st October 2015 and will be available from Mugler.co.uk

I thought the Greige trend was over a couple of years ago but Bobbi Brown are here to prove this trend still has legs with their beautiful new Greige Collection.
The centrepiece of the collection is the beautiful looking Greige Eye Palette £52
8 beautiful grey and beige shades, some classic Bobbi Brown shades such as Ivory and Slate with several new shades, Brown Haze Shimmer Wash, Greystone, Earth Metal Sparkle and Greige. The palette offers a range of finishes making it idea for day or evening wear.
I’m most excited to see the new Intense Pigment Liners £26.50.
I just think these look incredible. There’s Black Plum, Midnight and Forest and they all look gorgeous but Black Plum looks AMAZING. These are pressed powder liners that you can applying a precise line or smudged out for smoky eyes. There aren’t any fillers or binders so you get just intense pigment. They look gorgeous. There’s a new brush available to go with them, the Dual-Ended Eye Liner and Smokey Eye Liner Brush and thats £31.
There are also two new nail polishes, one a glitter. £12.50 each.
Bobbi Brown Nail polishes are the nicest formula ever. I’ve waxed lyrical about their perfect application and gorgeous finish several times. Greige is a lovely grey-beige creme while Smokey Topaz is a rich metallic. I’d go for four creme nails with a metallic feature nail. Or even a variation on the french manicure. Beautiful.
There are four new shades of the Rich Lip Color as well as two new shades of the Long-Wear Cream Shadow Sticks. The whole collection looks beautiful and is available now from counters and online.
There’s a new Jo Malone London Cologne in town and while I haven’t tried it myself, I wanted to draw your attention to it as it sound gorgeous!
Meet Jo Malone London Mimosa & Cardamom.
“A new bohemia awaits. Mists of honeyed, golden mimosa float above the spiciness of freshly crushed cardamom. Creamy tonka and smooth sandalwood woven under powdery heliotrope and Damask rose picked at dawn. Warm, ethereal, mesmerising.”
While I may not be able to bring the scent of mimosa to mind, I LOVE cardamom, and who doesn’t like tonka and sandalwood? I’m also familiar with heliotrop and damask rose. This sounds like a dream.
Available now, as well as the 30ml and 100ml colognes (£42 and £85 respectively), the line also includes a Body & Handwash (£28), Body Creme (£50 – These have the most amazing consistency) and a Home Candle (£42).
If you’ve tried it, let me know what you think. Unfortunately there’s nowhere locally where I can try this out so I’ll either have to buy it blind or live vicariously through you!

How can you not love this gorgeous packaging designed for Neutrogena by Danielle Romeril. The print is inspired by Memphis, an italian design and architectural movement from the eighties combined with a modern take on camouflage and I just love it, it also draws on the pink product itself for its inspiration.
The Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit range is already incredibly popular but I’ve not tried it at all. I personally have only just got my skin back in order so I won’t chop and change products in order to try them out but I’ve pumped some of this Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Facial Wash out to sniff it (soooo good!) and passed it over to my husband for him to use and he says his skin feels clean and not dry so you can take thats a thumbs up! Neutrogena Visibly clear combines spot fighting ingredients with a gorgeous scent, and is idea for anyone prone to blemishes and blackheads, I think it’d be great for teenagers in particular.
The Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Facial Wash in the Limited Edition Packaging is available now and is £4.94 for 200ml. Also available in the limited edition packaging is the Pink Grapefruit Oil-Free Moisturiser which is £4.99 for 50ml. And without the limited edition packaging, but in the same Pink Grapefruit range are a Daily Scrub £4.95 and a Cream Wash £4.99.

There’s a lot going on with Elizabeth Arden at the moment and it all looks fantastic so here’s a quick run down of what’s going on, starting with this beauty.
Red Door 25 Eau de Parfum (£78/100ml)
Unbelievably, this Valentines Day sees the 25th Anniversary of Elizabeth Arden’s iconic fragrance, Red Door.
To celebrate there’s a special 25th Anniversary Edition of the bottle, available for a very limited period of time only from Harrods.
The packaging is fabulous. The glossy box which lifts to reveal the door bottle seated in a gold base. The bottle itself is stunning, monogrammed and shaped just like a door, but I just love the chunky lid and the red colour of the fragrance.
The scent itself is inspired by the classic Red Door Fragrance but with the addition of modern rose extracts at it’s centre. It smells beautiful, with blackcurrant nectar, violet leaf absolute and that rose centre, along with honey, musk and my favourite, patchouli. It’s beautiful and because it’s an Eau de Parfum, it lasts extremely well on the skin.
If you want a bottle of this, you’ll have to move fast, it’s only available until Valentines Day!
Also newly launched are the new Beauitful Color Moisturizing Lipsticks, Matte (£21).
Available in 5 shades these velvety, highly pigment lipsticks have gone straight to the top of my wishlist. It’s taken me a long time to admit it but I’m not really a fan of lipstick, the only products I wear on my lips are matte lipsticks or sheer/balmy type finishes, otherwise I go bare (with rare exceptions!), so I’m always looking for new lipsticks to add to my arsenal. These promise a matte finish, up to 12 hours wear and a huge burst of moisture. Just what a matte lipstick needs, they can often be drying, so I’d be interested to know if these really do moisturise! And that packaging. Gorgeous.
The last thing I had to tell you about is Elizabeth Arden’s new foundation. Flawless Finish Perfectly Satin 24HR Makeup SPF 15 (£29)
This new foundation sounds promising. Anything with Flawless in the title has my attention. Flawless Finish Perfectly Satin is available in 10 shades and promises a foundation that will last all day. I like the sound of a satin finish as matte can look lifeless, whereas satin sounds softly glowing. Shine should be controlled all day and imperfections are not just covered, but blurred. What I really like the sound of is that it offers full coverage but has a light texture, long gone are the days where many of us are happy to walk around with mask-like foundation on. We want to look like we are naturally this flawless.
And that’s all my Elizabeth Arden news for now, let me know if anything takes your fancy, but hurry if you fancy the perfume!

I don’t know many people who aren’t fans of at least one Jo Malone London scent. I guess I’m not terribly fussy because I’ve liked everything I’ve ever tried. My absolute favourite JML scent is Blackberry & Bay, but I also really love the Limited Edition Elderflower & Gooseberry that was released as part of the Sugar & Spice collection, a couple of years ago, sadly no longer available. Oh and how could I forget Earl Grey & Cucumber which is gorgeous (despite the fact that I loathe the smell of cucumber!).
I always look forward to seeing what’s coming up so I thought I’d share the news here for you.
First up, and available now is the My Wanderlust collection by Charlotte Stockdale.

Beautiful collection, items most on my wishlist would be the Linen Spray and the Box Hedge Square Scent.
The other collection is the Rock the Ages Collection.
A very British collection with beautiful bottles, I love the bottles! Launching in March, each 30ml bottle will retail at £42.
Tudor Rose & Amber
Inspired by Tudor Britain, this cologne contains notes of Tudor Rose, with clove, rose absolute and amber.
Lily of the Valley & Ivy
Inspired by Georgian Britain. Green Ivy is complemented with Lily of the Valley.
This classic scent capture Victorian Britain. This is a dramatic combination of pomegranate, Casablanca lily and guaiacwood.
Geranium & Verbena
Geranium & Verbene is Edwardian Britain epitomised. Verbena and geranium, a clean, herbacious scent.
Birch & Black Pepper
Conjuring current day Britain, this is spicy black pepper and smoky birch.
I already own Pomegranate Noir and love it a lot, but from the remaining scents, I really love the sound of Birch & Black Pepper and Tudor Rose, especially if you can really smell the clove, it sounds gorgeous!
Do any of these make your wish lists? I’ll be asking my husband to buy me Birch & Black Pepper and put it away until my birthday in May!
I’ve long been a fan of Decleor. They were one of the first high end brands I turned to when I moved from using Boots own skincare to taking better care of my skin. I spent a fortune on everything I needed and used happily for quite some time. At some point along the way my head was turned by other brands but it wasn’t the last time I used them and since then I have returned to Decleor several times.
Alas since my middle aged skin has decided to freak out on me, I don’t dare mess with my routine much these days, but I couldn’t resist a play with this new product.
More on the product shortly but it would seem that Decleor are pretty much the same age. I’m 40 in May and Decleor also hit the big 40 this year. To celebrate Decleor have a new range, Aroma Lisse, which is being launched today. There are four products all aimed at anti-ageing and all with the key ingredient of antioxidant Mandarin Essential Oil. Not only is the smell invigorating but it has antixoidant properties.
The range targets the appearance of wrinkles, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and enhances luminosity.
Included in the range is a 2-in-1 Dark Circle & Eye Wrinkle Eraser 15ml £32, Aromessence Mandarine Smoothing Serum 15ml £49.50, Energising Smoothing Cream SPF15 50ml £52 and Aromessence Mandarine Smoothing Night Balm 15ml £33.50 and 30ml £57.
The Aromessence Night Balms are my favourite products from Decleor. Always beautifully scented, these are not only great for the skin, but an absolute joy to use. It’s an incredibly therapeutic experience massaging these into your skin at night and a real pleasure. The Mandarine version is no exception and meets fully with my expectations. I’ve been wary with it because of my spots, but so far no issues. I can’t use it long term as I’m afraid to step away from my prescription night treatment but while I’ve been using it I’ve had no problems, if anything it’s just made me want to try out the rest of the range.
Truly beautiful products from a brand that’s the same age as me, it seems fitting somehow that Decleor and I should share a big birthday, since we’ve been together on and off for many years now.
The range will be available nationwide from today.
Aveda Heartlands. A few months ago I saw these photographs on a US blog. I forget which but I never forgot the images as they blew me away. Today I’m able to share them with you myself and and in the not too distant future, show you some of the associated products. I love the clothes, the photoraphy, the styling and of course the make up looks. Truly evocative.
I don’t usually do blog posts like this but I’ve been waiting a long time to see these again and now I can share them. Welcome to Aveda Heartlands Autumn/Winter 2013.
And finally the collection itself.
What do you think? I honestly just think it all looks stunning.
Well hello there. I bring glad tidings!
You may well have already heard but in case you haven’t here’s the skinny. Estee Lauder Advance Night Repair (which I LOVED but stopped using as I wasn’t sure it was helping my spots thanks to my shoddy skin), has been totally revamped and is back and better than ever. I loved this though and got through two bottles. I decided to ditch it when my skin started to get really bad. I don’t blame this at all, but I stripped my regime right back and this had to go. I missed it though as I always felt my skin looked good in the mornings. Anyway, I digress.
Now I won’t lie, I’ve got the press release here and I’ve read and re-read it but it’s way too sciency for me to regurgitate here, I’m not good on science, but here’s what I can glean.
The bottle looks very similar to the previous Advanced Night Repair, the dropper is still there. Essentially this is less heavy on the silicones, but I think they are still there, don’t quote me on that, I’m not able to find out for sure right now. But other than that it’s been totally reformulated.
It has new technologies which help the skin to fix and cleanse itself over night as you sleep, all whilst adding moisture and being less sticky and heavy than the previous formula. Hyaluronic acid is in the mix too for those keen to get on board with beauty’s latest must have ingredient. All of this works together with antioxidants and other sciency sounding ingredients to reduce your wrinkles and to repair along with reducing damage caused by pollution. Result!
If that doesn’t sway you, how about the fact that it’s been put through its paces in trials on over 1,000 women around the world over four weeks and is proven to be suitable for most, if not all, skin types, including those of us with spotty skin. Hoorah.
I hope to be trialling this for myself really soon, but if this doesn’t happen, then I’ll be more than happy to buy and try it out for myself. Sounds amazing.
Prices 30ml £48 and 50ml £65. Cannot wait!
Available Nationwide from August but previewing now on www.esteelauder.co.uk.
