Jo Malone London Osmanthus BlossomI absolutely love Jo Malone. I say it a lot I know but there’s a lot to love.

The fragrances themselves. I’ve not yet found one I don’t like (although there’s still a lot for me to try). My favourites are without a doubt though, the limited edition Elderflower & Gooseberry and the stunning Blackberry & Bay.

The home scenting range that scent my home beautifully.

The body cremes that have the most gorgeous decadent texture and do a great job to boot.

Then there’s the PR team. Always polite, always kind, always eager to help and enthusiastic and kind. In fact, it’s my birthday later this month and they even sent me a little early birthday present which I’ll review at another time but it’s lovely.

What they didn’t send me, was a bottle of this brand new Osmanthus Blossom Cologne.

It works out pretty well for me as I was struggling for things to ask for for my birthday and now I have the very thing to ask for. I’ll take a bottle of this please.

Osmanthus Blossom is the newest, limited edition, fragrance to join the range and promises apricot counterpoised with supple leather. Along with petitgrain, peach and orange flower with a base of cashmere wood.  Quite frankly it sounds amazing. I’m a sucker for leather notes in a scent, and it’s for that reason I adore Molton Brown’s Valbonne. I’m also swayed quite heavily by the fragrance combining suggestion of Blackberry & Bay, which I a) own and b) rate as my most favouritest Jo Malone scent.

Jo Malone limited edition scents always sell out fast so if this sounds like it might appeal, grab it quick, I’m still smarting that I missed Lemon Tart to complete my desserts collection 🙁

In a beautiful white floral bottle, this is is available in both 30ml or 100ml (£38 and £76 respectively) and it’s available now from http://www.jomalone.co.uk.

Grab it quick!

Not for the first time Estee Lauder have partnered with the award winning drama Mad Men to produce a limited edition collection of three make up classics.

I fell in love with the last collection, the packaging was to die for but the shades of the products made me lust heavily. Just to show you what I’m talking about, here’s last year’s Mad Men collection.

Estee Lauder Mad Men

I feel bad I can’t credit the source of that image as I just saved it in my Lust Haves folder last year! So last year saw two products in the collection, and this year sees three.

Estee Lauder Mad Men

The packaging  is just amazing and the products look so stunning.

So what we have is the See Thru Blush in Light Show, which is a shimmering pink. Then the Rich, Rich Lipstick in Pinkadelic, and finally a Nail Lacquer in Pink Paisley, a glistening pink.

The blush looks particularly to die for, but it’s the actual compact I’m in love with!

Estee Lauder Mad Men

The collection is due out this month, I don’t have an exact date, but it will be available from Harvey Nichols, Harrods, Selfridges and Esteelauder.co.uk.

Prices will be £48 for the Blush, £26 for the lipstick and £20 for the Nail Lacquer.

What do you think?

Jo Malone London Sugar & Spice

I have been waiting for what seems like forever for this collection. I love Jo Malone and I have always had a love of foody scents…when the two combine, I was hoping for fragrance heaven. I was not disappointed!

There are five new colognes in the collection and I have been trying out three of them.

Jo Malone London Sugar & Spice

Bitter Chocolate & Orange
It’s not Terry’s, it’s mine. Pure and simple chocolate orange. It’s absolutely gorgeous. When it’s sprayed, it’s overwhelmingly chocolate…and whilst it remains very chocolately on the skin, it does settle down a little to become less overpoweringly chocolate and a softer chocolate orange. All the stages this perfume go through are delicious. The only sad thing about this one for me, is that the scent doesn’t last very long on me. A couple of hours maximum.

Elderflower & Gooseberry
Oh this is so delicious. The least foodie scent of the three I’ve been trying out. Described as a “voluptuous gooseberry fool. Crushed, summer-green gooseberries, juicy with lychee, enfolded into the soft delicacy of elderflower”…all of which it is, but there’s something so sweet and creamy about this, it’s just beautiful.

Ginger Biscuit
Finally, Ginger Biscuit. This is just like a freshly baked biscuit. So so good. In it you can detect the warmth of the spices, ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon. And then there’s caramel. Every single time I wear this I get a compliment. It’s divine.

Of the above three, I love them all, but I’m hard pushed to decide whether Elderflower and Gooseberry or Ginger Biscuit is my favourite. I think maybe I love them both equally but for different reasons. Ginger Biscuit is warming, foody and comforting, Elderflower & Gooseberry is soft, sweet and fruity.

Glorious.

But I won’t rest until I get the other two scents in the range which are also right up my street.

Jo Malone London Sugar & Spice

Jo Malone London Sugar & Spice

Such a beautiful collection, not only do I like the scents I’ve tried and the sound of the scents I’ve not tried but I also love the pretty pastel coloured labels and all the associated imagery. It’s gorgeous.

Jo Malone London Sugar & Spice

I am not sure these scents will appeal to many of the usual Jo Malone fans as they are SO foody… but for this Jo Malone fan, this collection is a dream come true!

The Sugar & Spice Collection is available now from www.jomalone.co.uk and I’m off there as soon as I hit publish!

My Review of the original Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus is, and always has been, one of my most read posts on the blog. The Serum was really very impressive indeed and I got fantastic results from it so I’m very excited about the newest Clinique launch.

Did you know a woman smiles at least 75 times a day? Apparently that’s a fact although for this harrassed Mum of two it really doesn’t feel like it 😉

Anyway, Introducing Repairwear Laser Focus Eye Cream.

Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus Eye Cream

Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus Eye Cream

The cream claims to repaire UV damage and protect against environmental aggressors,  as well as visibly improving the appearance of lines and wrinkles and overall texture, including crepey eyelids, under eye cross hatching and crows feet and it claims to strengthen the moisture barrier.

The active ingredients are the same as those in the serum so I have high hopes for this one.

It’s available now, from Clinique counters nationwide and of course www.clinique.co.uk and I expect this will be very popular indeed.

As ever, I’m loving the look of the new YSL Spring collection. I always love seeing the colours of Spring collections…. so gorgeous. My picks are below!

Volupte Sheer Candy in Tasty Raspberry £23.50

Pure Chromatics Collectors No14 £39.50

The Collector Pallete. A soft rosy powder that you can use all over or just where you fancy. £39.50

So do any of these take your fancy? Whilst I love the look of all of the above, due to funds I shall only treat myself to one thing and I think it’s going to be the Rouge Pur Couture Vernis A Levres in Peche Cerra-Colla.

Jo Malone London Vitamin E Eye Cream

There’s a new Jo Malone London skincare product in town and it’s a new addition to the the Vitamin E range.

The cream is designed to moisturise the skin around the eyes, reduce the look of fine lines and dark circles and has a lot of lovely ingredients including vitamin E (of course), white tea, white birch bark, avocado, murumuru butter and caffeine. It feels rich and creamy and is delicately scented.

If you’re a fan of the Jo Malone Vitamin E range, you’ll be wanting to add this to your repertoire quick sharp!

Available now, 15ml is £35 and you can of course purchase from www.jomalone.com

You’ve probably all already seen this but I can’t wait to get my hands on Fine One One. The latest offering from Benefit.

Benefit Fine One One

I’m a big fan of, and have hit pan on my Benefit 10 Bronzing and highlighting duo. This is along the same principle…stripes of different colour you put on your cheeks and then blend out. The difference being this is a  wind up cream product and a blusher and highlighter rather than a bronzer and highlighter powder.

Just love the look of it, and love the simplicity of having two products (two blush shades and a highlighter) you can apply in one sweep and quickly blend out for instant effect!

Available now £23.50 from all Benefit counters and Benefit Cosmetics Online.

There are some beautiful things coming from Guerlain this season and I’ve got some images to share with you along with a look at and review of the new Mascara. Cils d’Enfer Maxi Lash is a Volume creating and curl scultping mascara that comes in very classy packaging. It’s simple, stylish and classic.

Guerlain Cils d'Enfer Maxi Lash Mascara

The brush is fairly standard looking, which is a good thing as far as I’m concerned as I can’t stand huge brushes and I’m not the biggest fan of odd shaped mascara brushes…

Guerlain Cils d'Enfer Maxi Lash Mascara

Despite looking fairly standard it’s actually been quite carefully designed to catch each lash and separate and it’s all bevelled and faceted to create your look.

I’ll show you the mascara in action then I’ll tell you what I liked and didn’t like about it.

Guerlain Cils d'Enfer Maxi Lash Mascara

Guerlain Cils d'Enfer Maxi Lash Mascara

Okay, so I love how black it is, and I love how I don’t get it on my eyelids when I apply it because it hasn’t got a massive brush. I also love how it makes my lashes look thick and striking even when I’m looking down, they still look long.

Guerlain Cils d'Enfer Maxi Lash Mascara

I also love how the when applying to my bottom lashes it doesn’t go underneath my lashes, it just goes where I want it to.  I also like how it’s easy to apply with a very light touch. When I apply mascara to my bottom lashes, I simply want them to look black, I don’t like heavy bottom lashes, this is easy to apply without my bottom lashes looking too long or thick. It stays put all day, and doesn’t flake off over the course of the day.

I only have one negative really with this mascara, and it’s really nit picking, but it’s worth pointing out that when I apply this I really do have to apply with care because I find that if I’m a bit haphazard or too heavy handed it can clump. I don’t mind taking a little care with this though, it doesn’t exactly add much time to my routine! The mascara is available in two shades, Noir and Violet and retails at £22.

The rest of the Spring collection is really lovely looking too. Here’s a quick run down…

Guerlain KissKiss Gloss in #870 Cherry Pink  and #849 Fizzy Mango. £18.90

Guerlain Liquid eyeliner in Noir Ebene (Not a Ltd Edition) £22.05.

Guerlain Rouge Automatique in 600 Ballade & 601 Romance and Shine Automatique in 761 Flirt and 762 Rendez-Vous £22.05

Then there are two Eye Shadow Palettes. Guerlain Ecrin 4 Couleurs Spring in 501 Attrape-Coeur £34.20

Guerlain Ecrin 4 Couleurs Spring in 502 Coupe De Foudre £34.20

And last but not least the Guerlain Meteorites Perles Do Paradis £38.70

A very beautiful collection, I like that they have catered for different tastes and colourings by having a pinky purple theme and a coral and green theme. Personally I’d like the two coral lipsticks and the Coupe De Foudre Eyeshadows, they just look so stunning.

Anything take your fancy? The collection is available now and I recommend Escentual (but I’m not affiliated in any way!).

Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask

My skin is in dire need of a moisture boost right now so in theory this brand new mask should be just what the doctor ordered, but while my skin is so unhappy with it’s acne, I can’t bring myself to try this out just now so this isn’t a review alas. Although as I’m typing I’m thinking to myself, my nose is very dry and I never get spots on my nose, maybe I can just use it on my nose!

Anyway, with the onset of winter and the increase in central heating everywhere, many of us can be a bit prone to dryness and the Moisture Surge Overnight Mask is just what you need and I’ve got to say really appeals to the lazy girl in me.

You simply put this on before bed, get slumbering and in the morning…nothing! No you don’t need to wash it off because it will have been absorbed throughout the night to leave you moisturised, smooth and supple! But of course, you will wash your face any way right?!

I personally think this sounds wonderful and I’m just disappointed that I can’t really try it out at the moment…I’m saving it though for if and when my skin ever recovers!

Available now, a 100ml tube will set you back £28.
