Some lovely lovely new things from Melvita of late, I’ve got loads of their scrummy products to blog about, but for now, here’s two.
Firstly, the Apicosma Body Scrub (£16.50). I love the Apicosma range. And this is no exception. The 3 honeyes (thyme, acacia and orange blossom), moisturise well and smell lovely And the scrub aspect of it is argan powder, which very gently exfoliates. It’s very effective and leaves my skin so so soft.
The other item I wanted to mention is the new Ultra Nourishing Cream (£27). I’ve not tried this yet because I’m sticking firmly to my Dr Murad prescription for the time being, but this is a moisturiser for dry skins and comes very highly recommended indeed. For actual reviews see British Beauty Blogger’s review and Really Ree’s review.
I think Melvita are massively underrated, every single product I’ve tried has been fabulous and I’m currently absolutely loving the Argan Oil roll on, which I roll onto my cuticles every night without fail.
Both of the above are available now from www.melvita.co.uk.

Really can’t knock anything from Melvita, ethical, deliciously scented and pure quality.
Got just a few lovely bits to show you today.
Firstly they have some beautiful gift sets for Christmas in a good range of prices but I’m loving the Apicosma Discovery Set. The packaging is beautiful.
This lovely set is £15 and contains the Body Milk, Lip Balm and Hand Cream. The Apicosma products are all honey based, smell divine and are really nourishing.
The other things I wanted to show you is the Yellow Fruits Duo. £19.50 on special offer at the time of writing.
The yellow fruits in question are Apple, Quince and Hazelnut which makes for a deliciously fruity and different scent. I’ve been loving using these though! There’s a shower scrub (perfect amount of scrub for a product that you use as a shower gel rather than just an exfoliator) and a beautiful body milk which moisturises well and leaves the scent on your skin all day. I’ve also been using the Berry Body Milk which is equally divine.
If you’ve not yet tried out Melvita, get to it, it’s a wonderful, underrated brand and one I would recommend to anyone.

Sometimes I talk too much I know. Sometimes there’s not a huge amount to say about a product other than this is really really lovely, you need this.
So, this is really really lovely, you need this. Melvita Honey Lips Gloss Balm. Honey scent, sweet taste, lips nourished and protected and with a very very small amount of gold sparkle. This is a handbag staple.
£11 and worth every penny. Available from uk.melvita.com

A seriously short post. I can actually sum up this post in three words. Nom. Nom and Nom.
A shower gel made with fresh raspberries, blueberries and redcurrants. It smells awesome, it’s organic, it’s seasonal, it’s gentle, its gorgeous!
Shortest review ever? Quite possibly, but really, there’s only so much you can say about a nice shower gel. And this one is lovely. Available from 14th July from www.melvita.co.uk and £9 for 200ml.

It does seem a bit daft to be doing this post when the weather is so diabolical but you know, not only are the products suitable for the hot sunny weather, but you could just use them to get you in the Summer mood when its wet outside.
Starting with this beauty. My new love.
Givenchy Prisme Again in Happy Sun. I was gifted this so I don’t really know how much it costs, but its a beautiful product. Soft and buttery and sheer. Not a hint of orange, just healthy subtle bronze glow. I’ve been completely unable to find this online anywhere other than Ebay, the ones on Ebay aren’t the Union Jack version but are also gorgeous… it does however go without saying to be wary and keep your wits about you so you don’t end up with a fake. I’ll be trying Givenchy more in future that’s for sure. Perfect for us pale skinned ladies.
The next item is something I was sent a press release for the other day.
The Weleda Summer Travel Kit. I have never tried Weleda, I’ve not tried anything in the kit but I’ve heard nothing but good things about the range and whilst this kit isn’t on my wishlist purely because I’m not going on holiday, if I was going on holiday I’d definitely buy this! Fir £29.99 this is all you need. Actually, I’ve just read in the press release it’s suitable for a UK holiday and I don’t need much of an excuse so maybe I will treat myself. So what we’ve got in there is a 20ml Citrus Creamy Body Wash, a 30ml Citrus Deodorant and 10ml of Citrus Refreshing Body Oil. Then there’s 30ml of Combudoron Spray for the relief of insect bites, 25ml Melissa Comp Drops to elieve nausea, stomach upset and occasional diarrhoea, perfect for over indulgence, travel sickness or a minor tummy upset and finally there’s 20ml of Rhiondoron Nasal Spray with Aloe Vera for clearing and moisturising the nasal passages, perfect for dry air and high pollen counts. It really does sound like a great kit.
So if you put that together with the next kit and aside from your facial skin care and make up you’ll be all set for your holiday.
The label.m Mini Airliner*. The deal is that for £12.99 you can choose any 4 label.m favourites in mini sizes which all go into the zipped pouch. You choose one Cleanse product, one Condition product and any two Create and Complete products. my kit contains the Daily Moisturising Shampoo, the Daily Shine Conditioner, both absolutely lovely, the Sea Salt Spray for your beachy waves and the Dry Shampoo which does a great job! These kits are available at label.m salons globally and Toni & Guy Salons. You can find your nearest stockist on the label.m website.
Then there’s my new favourite deodorant.
Dove Natural Touch Dead Sea Minerals*. I have the roll on which is £2.19 but there’s also an aerosol which is £3.39 or £2.49 depending on which size you like. I didn’t think I liked roll on deodorants and have used the stick type of deodorants for years and years… it was a surprise to find I liked this one. It has a very strong scent which is absolutely lovely, but it does fade which is good news for those who don’t like their deodorants to be strongly scented. It keeps me dry all day and it smells nice. That’s all I need from a deodorant and this fits the bill well!
My final suggestion is this beauty. The Melvita Gradual Self-Tanning Moisturising Gel-Cream* £20
If you don’t like the sun’s rays on your skin but don’t like being a pale skinned beauty, but also don’t want to do the full on fake tan thing in order to be a bronzed goddess, this could be the product for you. It creates a natural looking light tan which is relatively streak free, for some reason I seem to be able to get at least one streak with every tan product I try and this is no exception, but I must say to have only one little streak is virtually unheard of for me, I usually just end up one big streaky mess whereas this is pretty much great. it contains no DHA at all which is the usual active agent in tanners and instead contains Erythrulose which is derived from sugar cane. Thisdevelops over a few hours and one application works well enough all though I do need more to build up the colour. One application takes the tinge off my blueness. It’s really moisturising but even better, although it claims to be vanilla scented, to me it smells just like fudge yoghurt! Nom!
So there we have it, my top picks for your holidays. Some of them I’ve tried, some of them I haven’t some were PR samples and some weren’t, all are fab…trust me when I say I’ve not included some items that definitely didn’t make it to my top holiday picks list!
*Items marked with a * were provided to me free of charge as PR samples*
I’m totally loving Melvita right now, these three products in particular. I’m using more Melvita bits and bobs but I’ll do a blog post on those another time, for now I’ll just concentrate on these three skincare products.
First up, the Cleansing Milk, a truly beautiful cleanser that does a wonderful job of cleaning my face at the end of the day. Don’t get me wrong, I only use this a couple of times a week as I wash my face with water and product at all other times but when I’m feeling tired or lazy I smother this all over my skin, rub it in and then tissue off and follow up with Micellar water (which I’ll talk about in a minute!) and my face feels so soft and clean. Rich in rose, Linden Waters and aloe vera it also has beautiful shea and mango butters along with Acacia Honey, Olive and argan oils, all blended together to create a very gentle product that does a fantastic job, even making light work of my mascara. 200ml is £16 and well worth it for those lazy days!
After I’ve used the Cleansing Milk I always follow up with the Fresh Micellar Water. If I’ve not been wearing make up I’ll just use this alone. Cleanses, tones and removes make up in one step. Created with wild rose petal extract and rose floral water. Again this leaves my skin feeling fresh and crystal clear. This is part of the new Rose Nectar range which is on special offer, you can buy two items for £25 or 3 steps for £44 with free postage. The Fresh Micellar Water is £14.50 for 200ml and I love it.
Finally is a product I took a while to warm to as I wasn’t too sure what to do with it, the Rose Extraordinary Water. It’s described as a skin prep lotion, its anti-aging product containing Hyaluronic Acid and Glycerine and it has a strange texture, its like thick water! I suppose you’d call it a gel. It’s very lightly scented and also has rose floral water for rejuvenating and marsh clover for firming. I’ve been using it in two ways, firstly after the above two products as a toner. Secondly, I have this strange habit of taking my showers in the late afternoon rather than evening or morning and I always used to have this quandry as to what to put on my skin at that time of the day as it felt too early for my night cream, now I just slather on this beautiful gel, it leaves my skin soft and moisturised and takes me through until bedtime when I can use my night cream. Truly a lovely product. £14 for 100ml.
For those who don’t know anything about Melvita the firm is dedicated to natural products, 95% of the total ingredients are from natural origin, water included. At least 10% of the ingredients are from organic farming and at least 95% of the total plant-based ingredients are organic, all ingredients are traceable, all packaging is recyclable and I think it probably goes without saying the whole brand is cruelty free.

Just a quick post about this beautiful body lotion. This is a glorious body lotion, a milk that absorbs super fast into the skin but is very moisturising and chock full of gorgeous ingredients.
It has a light fruit scent and contains macadamia oil, chestnut extract and flower pollen and Melvita’s patented 3-Honey-Complex. A “synergy” of three organic honeys (thyme, acacia and orange blossom) designed to target dry skin. It nourishes, repairs and revitalises.
Am loving this for a daily moisturiser. It’s light and quickly absorbed, perfect for slapping on after a morning shower but it really works well on those dry bits.
I think I’ve mentioned before that Melvita is a new brand to me but I’ve spent nearly an hour filling a virtual shopping basket and that’s testament to my love of the products I’ve been sent to try.
I’m looking at all the beauty oils, all the hair products, the scrubs, the fragrances and lots more!
The Apicosma Skin-Softening Body Milk is available from the Melvita website and is £17.50 for 200ml.
