Gosh, long time no blog! Things have really been getting in the way of blogging lately, life, illness, half term holidays, migraines… the works, but I had to get myself together because I’ve got some amazing products to get reviewed and today I’m starting with the Urban Decay All Nighter Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray!
I have some issues with some foundations that I find tend to slide off my face, its confusing when you think I don’t have oily skin, in fact my skin is really quite dry, but there we have it, some foundations just seem to slide away over the course of the day. Otherwise, with some of my foundations (yes I usually have several on the go, at the moment it’s five!), they last pretty well, but not into the evening. Not a huge issue for a homebody like me, but still, I do prefer to have my make up looking nice when I go out, rather than as though it’s slid off my nose and chin! I’m also of an age where products tend to slide into my fine lines and creases so I was keen to see if this worked to help avoid that as well. Other sprays I’ve tried in the past have left me feeling like I’ve hair sprayed my face, or worse, broken me out, so that’s another thing I was looking out for.
Urban Decay’s All Nighter is a Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray designed to give your makeup staying power for up to 16 hours. It’s suitable for all skin types, free from oil and parabens, but even more impressive is the claim that it will lower the temperature of your makeup to keep it in place, even if you are hot.
The bottle it’s self is a pump spray and seems to deliver just the right amount of product. I apply several pumps all over my face when I’ve finished applying my make up and I can confirm it doesn’t feel sticky or tight, nor does it leave any marks in my foundation or powder.
In terms of longevity, I’ve noticed this extends the wear time of all of my make up quite considerably. A foundation like the Urban Decay All Nighter Full Coverage Longwear Liquid Foundation, lasted a really long time on me anyway, but for those that aren’t intended to be long wear, or didn’t last well on my skin, this is fantastic. It’s not just foundation though, this makes ALL of my make up last, from my base, through to my blusher and eyeshadow, even my brows. I couldn’t be happier. The other thing which I’m not sure is cited as a benefit but I seem to have noticed, is that it seems to finish my make up off, so sometimes when I apply my makeup, it can take half an hour or so before it settles and looks more natural, this seems to do that job immediately, locking everything in place. I can also happily confirm that it doesn’t cause me any blemishes either.
I don’t wear this every day, just when I’ve put an extra effort into my face, or if I’m out and about, but when I do use this, I’ve now dispensed with powder altogether. I’ve never really liked using powder anyway, but with this, I just don’t need it.
I can’t recommend Urban Decay All Nighter Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray enough, it’s perfect for special occasions, but also ideal if you struggle to keep your makeup on throughout the day. If you are someone who finds their foundation disappears by lunchtime, this is definitely the product for you.
The final thing I wanted to mention is that this is a 30ml Bottle which is £10 and I think is going to last me a while, but there’s also a 118ml bottle available at £23.50 which will definitely be my next purchase!

New CID are a brand that have been on my radar for a long time now but somehow I just never got around to trying them out until now. All I can say is what took me so long! I was sent a selection of goodies to try out so I’m just going to try not to waffle too much but give you a little overview of each product.
Starting, naturally with the i-prime Foundation Primer £27 for 30ml.
If you want a primer to help blur your imperfections and make you look smoother and more radiant then this is fantastic. I love everything about it, great packaging, great primer, makes me make up last all day with ease. I apply this every day under whatever foundation I’m wearing (and that depends on how bad my skin is!).
Then there’s the i-perfection Colour Adjust Foundation £26.
Again, fantastic packaging. Pump bottle with a little window down the side so you can see how much product you have left. So simple, so useful! This is now my go to foundation for days when my skin isn’t completely clear but my spots are on the way out. I have the palest shade Nougat and it works a treat on my skin. It is extremely pale when I apply it (although this matches my very pale skin very well) but over a period of time this does indeed adjust and warms up a little so it’s a little less white. It’s really fantastic stuff. It offers light to medium coverage, and to get that medium level of coverage it’s very easy to build up. I find when I apply this dries on my skin quickly so rather than dabbing on my face in all areas and then blending, I tend to work on an area at at time. The finish is satin but leans towards the matte side rather than shiny. Loving this. There are eight shades in the range.

i-blossom! This is a pressed powder blusher with a stamp. £18.50.
I have wanted to try this blusher for the longest time and pleased to say it doesn’t disappoint. What you have is a little pot. When you unscrew the lid, it sort of springs out with a sponge that already has your blusher on it ready to go, and that’s because the blusher lives in the bottom of the pot.
There are three shades, Rose, Petal and Tulip, the shade I have is Rose. When you put this on your cheek it is very pigmented and quite bright but a quick sweep with a brush and it’s blended out to a perfect flush. Definitely highly recommended!
Then we have the i-colour Long-Wear Cream Eyeshadow £14
I have this in the shade Zinc, just my colour. A Black with silvery shimmer. This is a mousse like texture which you can sheer out or build up and is not unlike the Chanel Illusion D’Ombre in Mirifique…but there’s a difference. I didn’t get on with the Chanel really. I loved how it looked but it just didn’t stay the distance. This DOES NOT BUDGE. ALL DAY. The first cream eye product I’ve tried that actually does what it promises. This is fabulous.

The final product I was sent to try out is the i-set Make-Up Setting Spray £18.
There’s not a lot to say about this. Spray it on over your finished make up and off you go. This is fab and packed full of anti oxidants. Really great. I feel like I should say more, but there’s not much more to say, this is quick and easy to use and definitely helps your make up stay put all day!
Here’s my Face of the Day using ALL of the products above, sorry I don’t have one of my eyes closed so you can really see the Eye Cream.
I literally don’t have a bad word to say about any of the products I’ve tried, all it’s done is fuel my desire to get more. So after Christmas I’m going to be shopping! Next on my list are one of the i-shadow Quads, Shimmy Shimmy or Oman, or maybe both, the Foundation Buffing Brush, one of the i-kiss Lip Colour pencils, the Charcoal i-smoulder which is a eye pencil and shadow, the i-conceal and of course one two or three of the i-glow shimmer powders which look stunning.
Any recommendations for me? Anything take your fancy here?
